NTNU chose SPOT AS

SPOT AS has been selected as the supplier of a complete fuel system for SINTEF Ocean’s new laboratory at the Norwegian Ocean Technology Center – enabling testing of future energy systems for shipping and offshore structures.

NTNU selected SPOT AS as supplier for the complete fuel supply system at SINTEF Ocean’s new laboratory at the Norwegian Ocean Technology Center. The facility will serve test cells for energy systems primarily aimed at ships and offshore structures, including the development of combustion engines, fuel cells, and hybrid machinery systems.

The contract includes engineering, procurement, installation, and testing of piping and control systems with associated equipment.

Together with SINTEF representatives – research director Anders Valland and senior researcher Dag Stenersen – SPOT AS will design and build a fuel supply system for the following fuels intended for the marine engines of tomorrow:

HFO (Heavy Fuel Oil)
MGO (Marine Gas Oil)
Ammonia
Methanol
Hydrogen
Natural gas up to 500 bar
